I've read so few books this year compared to last year. Just look at them from last year. Beautiful. I've never read that many books before, and perhaps never again.

I've kept records for the the last 3 and a half years. 2011 picture is shown. In my entire life, I've read maybe 350 books cover to cover.

It's harder to write short story collection than novels. This is my opinion. Agree or disagree?

Mine is probably Buddy, since he narrates the stories, and his voice (i.e. the prose of the books) is great, plus he's interesting when he appears himself. TBH, I think all the 6 Glass family members we saw were pretty good, with special mention to Zooey and Seymour. I always imagine Boo Boo to be kind of hot, strangely.

That's a long and impressive list, TC, and has some great books. I particularly like 2666, Kafak on the Shore, and Nine Stories.

Question: how is Distant Star? I want to read it, but want to know how it compares to Bolano's other works.
