I work in an office setting doing relatively simple things. I've always been a night owl so I work a steady second shift that gives me a safe spot to put my laptop while I work so I pull it out on breaks and write maybe a sentence or paragraph each time I sit down.
On my days off I should be working on advertising or being social but I'll just stay in my room, chitter chat online and watch streams.
What really made the difference though was saving and investing. If I penny pinched I'm positive I could retire now but nah. I'd go insane if the only interaction I had with the world was me and my writing.
Besides, networking is how you get popular.
