Why are you seething? you think I don’t know that these guys are famous authors? The point is that many of them are considered “problematic” by today’s standards and dismissed as untouchable or entirely outdated by the latest science. Imagine trying to cite the majority of them in a modern university. Of course I recognize that Durant is old too but he’s still respected more or less by history enthusiasts. Why I think it’s cool is that is one of my favorite authors and a respected figure shares a lot of my same tastes.

Sold six copies on Amazon of my eBook within the first week, frens! I didn't even pay to promote it, only promoted it on Facebook and Instagram with my regular posts. Very happy with the slow but sure process, frens.
Working on my second pay-to-read novel.
God bless you all, anons!

>Prove to me that indian philosophy is more than just dude just accept fate LMAO

"The Upanishads ... are among the noblest and most inspired books in the world; in them, the whole of the Indian wisdom is already contained; later teachers could but expand and comment on them, but in no way departed from this original treasure of wisdom." ... "The Upanishads teach the wisdom of Atma, the Supreme Self of all beings; the same divine Life which Philo of Alexandria later called the Logos, the Divine Mind, the collective spiritual consciousness of our universe. They tell us that, while each of us may seem to be a wanderer and exile, lonely, desolate in our world of shadow and of sorrow, we are in reality neither alone nor desolate, but undivided, unseparated rays of the Universal Self, the Logos. What is needed to secure our immortality—an immortality which is still conditional, until this victory is won—is the realization of our oneness with the Supreme Self. The Upanishads show how, step by step, we may mount the golden stairs; they tell us what we must leave behind; what we must gain, as we tread the small, old path; what we must achieve; with the promise that we shall in the fullness of time be initiated into the fullness of that eternal, universal Supreme Self of all beings. "The whole aim of their teachings is this: to point the path by which the personal self may win immortality and divinity, by becoming united with the Higher Self, which always possessed immortality and divinity."—Charles Johnston

Some major Sufi authors/poets include Al-Ghazali, Ibn-Arabi, Rumi, Attar, Sanai and Jami. The various traditionalist authors like Burckhart, Schuon, Lings etc wrote some good books on the topic. Some other books that I've seen people recommend include Studies in Islamic Mysticism by Nicholson, Sea Without Shore by Keller and Kashf ul Mahjoob by Ali Hujwiri. There are also some really good books comparing it to other schools of thought like Sufism and Taoism by Toshihiku Izutsu and Paths to Transcendence: According to Shankara, Ibn Arabi & Meister Eckhart by Shah-Kazemi. There are also some interesting 12th-18th century Islamic philosophers who are rooted in Sufism like Suhrawardi, Mulla Sadra etc and various secondary literature about them. I really like Sanai's 'Enclosed Garden of Truth' and Ibn-Arabi's 'Fusas al-Hikam'.
