My gut feeling says it might be tangentally relevant, but not ace 100% answer. I love Fear & Trembling and Either/Or, so I'll check it out for sure. Thanks for the rec.

Deleuze and Guattari are like the Mario bros of philosophy in the sense that they offer a tangential unbiased source of thinking that challenges our conception of ontology which can be translated as metaphysics as an act of love that permeates every surface it comes in contact with. Of course this frame of thought is considered unorthodox and this caused problems in Deleuzes personal life. For example in 2005 when he appeared as a ghost in Jimmy Falloons Show he survived an assassination attempt from Cuban police which gave him extreme mental disorders

Deleuze and Guattari are like the Mario Bros of philosophy. Both of them are as much about the act of creation as they are about the act of destruction. Their work was so transformative that in addition to being called anti-establishment, in an act of poetic justice, one of the biggest stars in the cinema industry and a man worth over $6 billion, they are also called subversive. If anyone should be labeled revolutionary, I would have no hesitation in saying it is their work. They are both deeply anti-capitalist. In that sense, all of their theories would be considered subversive even if they did not advocate such ideas. When in reality you need to destroy everything before you can rebuild.

>I'm a real guy. I don't believe everything I think. I'm still learning

This question comes to mind because recently people have been calling out both Deleuze and Guattari for their lack of sensitivity to a number of issues. In particular, they've become known for making the point to be critical of men.

What's your take on it?
