Is it just a fresh new meme or is it a good read?
Hard mode: you actually read the thing.

Has anyone finished this? I had to make the decision for my mental health and future eyesight to put this down about a quarter of the way through. I really enjoy the prose, but how can I overcome a feeling of inferiority that this massive novel instills on people? Is it even worth reading?

Just finished this, please tell me other people here have actually read it. I need to discuss what is definitely the most difficult book I've ever encountered. It's confusing and at many times as excellent as it is confusing but it is also not without its flaws.

So this book was withdrawn from publishing by the author and made that no publisher would have the right to go on publishing it 20 or so years ago; where can I find a cheap edition of the book? Where did you get/find yours and how much did it cost? Is it worth my time and money?
