op your quest for the "perfect" translation of the bible can be better purposed reading "study guides" or commentaries about bible verses

the nicene creed was developed before the bible was canonized
and in fact the nicene creed was used to filter out the 100s of circulating "books" at the time and select those which promoted the true theology for christianity

yes the christian bible can be hard reading. it is 1300 pages of ancient text translated from several different languages & authors with a context quite different from today or anything recent like the past few 100 years etc

the point here is - reading the bible is just the beginning - to better understand the complicated meanings - read a BIBLE STUDY TOO

a lonnnnnnnnng time ago when I started reading all that stuff I was amazed how little direct text there was for xnity. 900 pages for OT and 300 pages for NT. thats it. 1200 pages of text responsible for all western society civilization that spawned billions of more pages of text by millions of authors
