I have never completed a philosophy book such as "Critique of Pure Reason," "The World as Will and Representation," or "Spinoza's Ethics" because I feel I get the gist halfway through. Do I truly need to finish them entirely?

Hello, I'm 29 and have read around 15 books in my lifetime, give 0 or take 15 and for some reason I'm in the mood to read a nice mystery novel. What's something interesting that wont filter someone who never reads? Some movies I in the same vein are Eyes Wide Shut, Prisoners, Gone Girl, The Prestige, Rear Window.
