Would a Creative Writing degree make me a better writer than an English/French Literature degree? After a bit of research on concluding that CW degree would make one write a more story-driven style with not necessarily bad prose but nothing too modern. Examples like McCarthy, DeLillo, Crowley, and DFW(Pynchon as well, but he is capable of Joycian Prose.) show what I mean. But an English lit degree would make one write a more flowery style giving the writer a greater capability to mimic great prose. Writers that share what I mean here can be Joyce, Nabokov, and all the modernist and romantic bunch.

Anyone would like to add to this? Also, if your from NA best bet is to study Creative Writing as your English Lit class is doomed to be shit.
