i´m asking this because all across media (movie, tv shows, art, literature) people are obsessed with low brow entertainment, insipid, soulless and with no heart

i don´t see any individual that puts the effort to create something more big than themselves, they always take the easy route

i blame in part the infantilization of society and talentless hacks that hide behind "it´s not supposed to be deep, just have some fun lmao xd" and the whole system that pushes the narrative of "everybody is equal" to legitimize low brow garbage

With the current political and social changes that are ocurring in western civilization, should we consider ideology and specially identity politics to be some twisted form of a secular religion?
