What am I in for? Is the Sea of Fertility better than his other works?

I loved the part where Kiyoaki stayed at the beach house with thai princes and had a comfy romance with Satoko that he and her knew was only temporary. The sex described on the beach I remember giving off this amazing aesthetic in my head.

Are there any books that are just like this?

Just finished Spring Snow. Really enjoyed it, but I also feel like a massive brainlet because I'm still unsure what the dead dog in the waterfall was supposed to symbolize.

Ok /lit/ bros I lent my friend a copy of Spring Snow because I wanted to get him into reading and he’s usually pretty into tragic romantic shit. He had it for like 5 months which I guess is fine considering he hasn’t read anything in ages, like at least it’s better then nothing.

Anyway the point of this thread is I’ve had the book back for a couple weeks now and was just looking at it and noticed there was a dark spot in one segments of the pages when I viewed it from the top which also created a small gap. I flipped to this small clump of pages that stuck together and noticed a stain covered in a crusty white substance. It was visibly cum. It was at the weird part where Satoko’s dad is viewing a painting in which a woman gets raped.

How would you respond if you lent your friend a book and he inseminated it? Wat do?

Wtf was Kiyoaki's problem? If he wasn't such a massive faggot and just went with the relationship since the beginning literally nothing would have happened. Deserved everything that happened to him. Good read regardless.

Why is it so good

Am I wrong in feeling disappointed with the ending? Overall it was a beautiful story, but my expectation was that Kiyoaki would go out with a bloody harakiri blaze of glory, rather then offscreen so to speak in a single sentence, the last time we see him he is weak with a fever meakly being smothered to death in his passion.
