William S. Burroughs
He was a heroin junky and sexual deviant with some weird self defense complex. He collected weaponry and ended up shooting his wife in the face during a game of drunken William Tell.

William Burroughs is the biggest hack of all time. There is no meaning or depth to his idiotic drug babble.

Out of all the pretentious, overrated writers from the beat generation, he is by far the worst.

/lit/, i've just started reading Naked Lunch, and im really lost. What's the background to the book, and what exactly is the plot, and so on. plz help.

This man will be hailed as a saint and a prophet. And perhaps a martyr of sorts. Plus, I've never read anything that alternately gives me an erection, and perception shattering truths in the same page. If he falls out of favor, well that's a world I don't want to see.
