/lit/ - Literature

Looking for something like this in that it's character-driven and sometimes gut-wrenching, but also has lots of adventure and excitement.

Bonus points for major character growth, and ideally roughly the same length (3-4 books).

I need some more like this, please. Character-driven fantasy with magic and action and adventure and anxiety and struggling with personal flaws and young adults not sure what to do with their lives and a group of friends who spend much of the story sticking together just because they genuinely care about and are comforted by each other, with a good mix of sadness and happiness.

This is easily my favorite fantasy of the last decade, and I have yet to read anything else like it.
