I get the feeling feeling that being -6' isn't your primary issue.

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's only me, and I walk alone

>There is nothing to hold on to, nothing to care about.
It hit me a little over the loss of Dave Masters despite him only briefly being in the story. Really came off interesting and throughout the whole book made me think what could have been.

Oh, hey, they got off of Wix. Is this a good sign? Did somebody start making some money?

Just fucking do it.

Working full time on shit you don't like isn't making you happy.

Stock up on some supplies you need like cheap food with high nutrition, and write your heart out.

Seriously, you will never, EVER be happy unless you go for the things you want.

You might get poor at times, it will get hard, a little sad, but you're still going to be happier in those moments rather than wasting your life away on something you're not passionate about.

It's that simple.

Just do it. Get out of here and do it.

Being 26 is a fucking strange feeling. For the first time you have the numerical proof you're closer to 30 than 20, but perhaps you still feel the fucking same as you did at 22.

Cool stuff you've copied and saved from /lit/

Poetry edition

I'll start:

"Blistering august rays come down on
On a single old town and the last small summer

And one last call on old people and old lies that made old lives
An end, finally, to what were once the gals and the guys
A purgatory and farewell preceding not heaven but hell
The heat forges resolve, the last free time, life before life
As winter comes to temper

And in the summer heat
Something stews and boils here, it burns
The earth sears something as it burns on freedom
The heart is seared as the flesh is forged
Burned away as flesh turns learned

And the end of freedom comes soon, the gates slam shut!
A plane touches down on this searing tarmac
I carry with me only blind rage and aimless hate
And the bleeding battered body of love
Only the hope that the last winter find it fit to save"

You know, of course, why they do it. "Capital in the 21st Century" is an assault on the very validity of capitalism, even if Piketty is too timid to truly frame it as such. The mouthpieces of capital cannot allow such a critique to stand.

EVERY criticism of Piketty's book should be looked at with skepticism, if not outright suspicion. Its conclusions are dangerous, and if they are also true, those who benefit most from capitalism will spare no expense and recognize no limit in their attempts to tear down and discredit the work.

There's certainly room for sober, scholarly debate on Piketty's findings, but under the circumstances, any criticism of his work must be looked at, again, with suspicion.

How much do you /lit/izens read? How many books do you actually read per month?
Don't try to impress me, and also, are they novels? Short-stories books? Poetry?
>I try to read 6 books per month, mostly novels and short-stories, 1 of poetry and an essay every now and then.
I need help choosing a book this week, I'm about to make a really important exam so I need a light lecture to be able to focus more in the subjects of the exam.
Recommend me please a short novel or a short-stories book that's not too long but it'sworth the read.
