It's not just ugly. It's empty. Devoid of anything. It's like a crumbled piece of paper. But you wouldn't call that beautiful art, would you? Because if you would that either 1) makes you an ultra-pseud or 2) means we can take every piece of art ever created and just piss on it.
"Beauty in ugliness" is in masterfully crafted dissonant music (Deathspell Omega and/or Elend), in violence which surpasses the veil of flesh...
Beauty is deceptive, but the idea of an art piece is nothing if it's crafted with unexperienced hands (De Kooning might be a masterful sculptor, I don't know him or his other work, we're strictly speaking about >>17291039, as the "experienced" refers to craftsmanship of a specific piece).
