I read it a few months ago. it wasn't as good as I had hoped but it wasn't too bad. maybe it was Zelazny's writing I didn't like? who knows. I thought the fight scenes were quite bizarre. hell, the whole thing was bizarre. I didn't get a sense of cringey athiesm from it but I did get a sense of "look how religion can bend people's wills". anyway it just made me want to read Siddhartha again
