Where do I start with this chameleon-eyed French guy? Someone gifted me Being and Nothingness, and I wish to know where to start.

The hatred of millennials is just a subtle arrow in the divide and conquer identity politics pushed by the elite

Any mental health issues would be caused by the neoliberal system of hyper individualism we live under.

Millennials are the first generation to not be brainwashed by anti communist cold war propaganda and to not see an economic boom

Couple this with a system that is basically jamming you in the face with thoughts like BE PERFECT BE PERFECT BE PERFECT BE PERFECT leads to a deep anxiety.

If you are interested in western civilization start with the Greeks, also read the bible. then you explore western philosophy like Kant and Hegel, and Nietzsche, and Wittgenstein, and schopenhauer , etc. Then you look for some slightly more modern philosophers and thinkers like Foucault, zizek, Chomsky or googly eyes. Then hopefully you develop your own way of thinking and meditate on everything you have learned, and then start asking your own questions.
Then maybe explore science or eastern philosophy

Let's talk about existentialism /lit/. Kierkegaard has interested me lately. Correct me if I am wrong, but his basic premise is that people must find their own meaning in life?

I find Sartre's ideas very interesting but I'm not smart enough to read his complicated prose. How could I learn about him without having to read his actual books?

Can anyone provide me with a rebuttal of the Sartrian perspective on freedom and meaning?

I feel as though it is the only correct approach to Nihilism and the death of God, I subscribe to it both consciously and unconsciously, and thus I feel it is imperative that I challenge it and thus challenge myself.

Is literary genius synonymous with hideousness, among other things such as social ineptness and autism?

I mean, how many chad thundercock normies have you seen throughout history who have written timeless pieces?

Would /lit/ please tell me whether Sartre's Nausea is usually hard to read? I'm three pages in, and confused as all hell. And I don't mean "This character's motivation's confuse me", or "This plot is hard to follow.", I mean "I understand most of these words, but they don't seem to be combining into any kind of meaningful whole, and I can't visualise what's going on, because I have no idea what is."

How did he justify his support for a brutal authoritarian dictatorship that was completely incongruous with his philosophy?

Not a rhetorical question, I'm genuinely interested in his rationalizations.
