Who recommended this to me? Yikes, bro. This is really hard to get into. I never struggled this hard to get into a book before. I'm only on chapter 13, but it's rough. I had to go back over a few chapters, because I completely forgot what happened. When does it get good?

Ceda is boring. Her motivation is boring. Her friend is boring. Her lover is boring. They keep referring to these kings and how awful they are, but I have no reason to care about them, other than Ceda's desire for revenge.

Also, I might be thinking too much about what was implied. But some of the foreshadowing was too heavy handed, and I have a pretty good idea about what "surprises" are coming. Except it's probably going to take forever to get there.

I don't know what to do. I kind of what to continue to see if it gets better. But like I said, it's such a struggle.
