I've not been so thoroughly sucked in by a book since I was a child. Lost time is a thematic path well worn, by many great writers. Grimwood isn't one of these, his prose and dialogue often comes out clumsy. But the emotional core of Replay is a rich tapestry of love and loss. There is no subtlety. It is simple, direct and earnest.

I do have a few nitpicks though
-The first third of the book often feels more masturbatory than it needs to, and is overladen with cultural references
-The justification for why Pamela chose to finish highschool was really, really flimsy.
-I think the ending could have been refined into something much more memorable
