I wrote a trilogy of novellas I compiled into a single novel about amoral businessmen reverse engineering the Frankensteinian resurrection process, raising the dead loved ones of the wealthy elite. It has some obvious troubling side effects and longterm implications but everyone looks the other way because they get to have their loved ones back, until SHTF because there's more risen, intelligent dead than living people and they no longer want to live in secret, in underground cities built from derelict subway tunnels and platforms. What follows is teslapunk WW1 between the living and the dead
