We are the onions men
We are the cucked men
Leaning together
Balding heads filled with onions. Alas!
Our faggy voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
or rats' feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar full of niggers

I want to apologize to T. S. Eliot for every baseless critique I made about him and his work here. I read a couple of his poems online and then I bought his collected poetry and I have to say I was terribly wrong. This guy was a master poet and perhaps the last of his kind. All the meme Nobel Prizes they've given like Bob Dylan or Toni Morrison are forgiven in my opinion, since they gave one to Eliot and recognized him as the true artist that he was. What are some authors you misjudged, /lit/?

>a romanticist poetry thread turns into a catfight of two neckbeards affecting a lofty diction
why is this so unsurprising

Oh you miserable pleb, I do pity you.

That is not it, at all,
That is not what I meant, at all.

If you pick any of the following subjects to study in university (they are listed from most useful to somewhat useful), you are exponentially increasing your chances of eventually become a great Scientist:

English
History
Theology
Sociology
Law
Business
Marketing
Politics
Languages
Music
Art
Psychology

You might notice that the often posted about 'Engineering' did not make the grade and are wondering why. Well, that is correct. It did not make the grade. Neither did 'Physics' or 'Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.' This is because they will not help you become a great Scientist.

Do yourself a favour /lit/, study the sciences if you want to win that Nobel Prize for literature.

>what is the best novel ever/of x country or rank this novel, author etc
>what is the x of literature
>pleb/patrician

Why do you do this, /lit/? Are you completely unable to talk about artistic qualities, and criterion - have you not read even a little criticism - so instead presuppose them and yell past each other?

What is the best poetry? I've heard good things about Rilke, Borges and Whitman. I'm not too interested in stuff more than 300 years old as I'm aware of Ovid, Virgil and Milton and they're mentioned most times this question is asked. Pic somewhat related.
