what do you guys think of Douglas Coupland?

he seems to have copied a lot of his style from douglas coupland who wrote Generation X

What does /lit/ think of Douglas Coupland?

I ask because I read a lot of his stuff when I was much younger (too young to really appreciate literature) and I want to know whether I should read it again.

Hey do you guys in america read Coupland? the guy who coined the term generation x? He's a pretty good writer... funny, indepth, down to earth. I like him. just wondering if you guys heard of him?

I've just finished reading this book, and as entertaining as I found it, I cannot fathom the ending. From what I got, he loved the retards hugging him because he said how he was never hugged by his family, but the bird and the mushroom cloud? Can anybody please shed some light?
