The Revolt of the Elite is pretty much a collection of his essays on upper class behaviour and how narcissism drives a wedge between them and the lower classes. His assessment of narcissism and its normalization in Western society to normopathic proportions fits very well into a cultural critique of postmodernity and proves why right-wing and left-wing politics nowadays are equally fucked. Both operate from the premise of narcissistic normalcy. Heck, you can even explain the celebration of homosexuality and other perversities through this frame. After all, Freud showed and recent studies have proved that homosexuals rate significantly higher on the narcissism spectrum than heterosexuals.

i prefer the theory that says that swedes are like a more autistic version of germans, and that when they try to follow any social theory they can't do it like reasonable people and improvise along the way, instead they go into autistic overdrive and crank it up to 150%, that also makes them a society highly based on consensus, where everybody follows everybody else and tries not to stand out too much, so as soon as the tide turns right wing when the egalitarian shit fails they will probably go crazy and start murdering people like autistic retards instead of trying more reasonable measures
