I also wanna add that the reason that Kanye West's music is so good is not just because most of his albums are excellently composed and crafted but also because they reveal his power as an individual artist. In his music he's honest about his contradictions and most of his songs anticipate his personal life. His divorce was predicted in FML and Blood on the Leaves, his self-destructive obsession with porn and sex can be seen on tons of songs like Hell of a Life and I'm In It, and his song Saint Pablo was his final attempt at reaching for humility until he took the wrong turn and used Christianity as a veil for his ego. Suicide in particular is recurrent in songs like Power and FML. I hope someone convinces him to read A Confession by Leo Tolstoy since Tolstoy was in a similar situation of being world famous and wealthy but overwhelmed by suicide ideation since he saw no meaning in his success. Maybe that book will change Ye's life.
