I made this thread here because although it's prescription is supposed to be based on science, the idea is philosophical and science as of now cannot answer questions with a proposition "why". Materialistic perfectionism is about achieving a perfect life through our understanding of materialism. That assumes there are patterns in our life that are perfect, or at least as close as we can achieve. For an example, there would be a diet that's better than all others, exercises or physical movements that are better than all others, thoughts and actions that are better than all others(which we usually call virtues). It seems like the thing that increases our understanding of materialism is intelligence so that would be the sole goal of this topic as of now.
