>let's make a novel about a monster shark terrorising a small coastal town.
>Mmmm yes now lets take almost a quarter of the book for an unrelated subplot of the whore wife cheating on her husband
Almost dropped it at that point, i hate women so much it's unreal.

I'll start with this
The man absolutely does not know how to write a good story. Why the FUCK is most of this book about the wife being a whiny cunt? Why did he drop the sharks perspective in the third part? The film being as good as it is has nothing to do with the original story, and everything to do with the adapted screenplay

[ERROR]

Reading this book again. Started to notice that about every character fights with their guilt the entire book.
Chief feels guilty about the people dying. Along with his emotions about his wife. Also, his instant disdain with Hooper
Ellen feels guilty about being ashamed of her family life along when she cheats on her husband.
The mayor, the journalist, all of them.
As a bonus, Peter Benchley felt incredible guilt after writing it cuz it resulted in a fear about sharks.
