If anything he's more popular than ever. His English translations are insanely good; so precise in feeling and expression I find it hard to believe it wasn't the original language. Outside of the East, there are only two writers with anything to say in all of philosophy, Cioran and the author of Ecclesiastes. Everyone else dances around the essential unsaid. The esteem in which Cioran is held will only grow with time.

>My mother and I lived in a small house, in the middle of a grey British town. Any trees and parks which used to cover the area were now replaced with concrete modern architecture. The dream of spending my life on a farm, tending to animals and vegetables and never being bothered by anyone was far too distant. A lot of people recognised me and many of them knew each other. I had a minor chance in life to be born in a large city, but God hates me.

Diary general.
Hi /lit/. I guess it is time to start a diary general or journal general if that is more tasteful.
I am in a fix today, I argue a lot with my friends about all topics ranging from pol, lit, v, tv etc although I don't firmly believe in anything to take any action but I hate it when they act as if they have empathy, as if they are somehow more normal. I don't want to beat them in an argument and change their mind about the topic we were arguing about but I want to crush this illusion they have. They have no empathy, they understand nothing and I can't say it to them. Can't call them idiots to their face, oh but I can't explain how badly I want to call them fools.
Why do I talk to them? I honestly don't know, I think it's mainly a force of habit. I don't need their approval , if they gave me an exit I would take it. Yet, I am stuck. I can live without talking but I just can't stand when they parade their delusions wrapped in idiocy. Oh god please crush their spirit for me. Make them see themselves, please give them good memories so they remember what they are.

>you will never stop ted from maiming all those people
>you will never tell him that he can't change society by acting the way he does
>you will never sit him down as a young man and explain to him that there are better ways to make people listen
>you will never catch him in your arms as he breaks down crying
>you will never console him and keep him out of prison
>you will never save him
