That part is a bit. Chuck Tingle is the nom de plume of the guy who wrote all these ridiculous porn parodies.
At first I always assumed the guy was somebody who probably wasn't even gay and was taking the piss the whole time, but he actually is some flavor of fag. He was a pretty big thing for a while when all of these books got popularized maybe five years ago (or really just the covers, nobody actually read them).
