Post your short story ideas. It's not like they're going anywhere.

A pige has a good career and home life, but one drunken night out with his fellow piges he shoplifts from a gas station on a dare.
He is caught and since his workplace runs routine background checks on employees eventually loses his job due to the zero tolerance policy.
Stagnating in self pity, boose, and the inability find a new job due to his criminal record he spirals into depression and outward reactions against his wife and son. He never actually strikes either of them but she still leaves him and has a restraining order put in place.
An old coworker shows up when things appear most dire with a job offer, but is he too far gone or will he turn his life around?

I have a still very vague idea of a novel about people moving to a better place, most likely a different country, to have better lives. Very much "American dream" style ambition.
And of course it fails miserably, because if I can't be happy I don't see why my characters should be either. Fuck those assholes!

That is such a nice saying. What is your favorite toy, specifically? When I was young, Bionicles were my world. I still consider them to have the best lore/worldbuilding in the world, when it comes to toys. Also is /toy/ a nice place? And personally I would indulge my love for toys more, but it's sadly a materialistic hobby. It requires expenditure, and entails amassing physical items that will only take up more and more space. So I naturally have to limit these. But having a few would be nice. As long as it's not too expensive, or too cluttering.
