This is the first step of regeneration. The next step is to begin fasting, praying (particularly keeping the Liturgy of the Hours), going on retreats to monestaries, meditating, contemplation, reading the Greeks, reading the Patristics, reading the Saints, tithing, sleeping in the floor, and ultimately it culminates in monastic vows or marriage. These are the most important steps, the first true steps towards illumination, theosis, and diefication.
