Why would you even consider Hume to be the "edgiest"? He was just trying to figure out what was true and what wasn't. The "edgiest" philosopher might be Kierkegaard, Schopenhauer, or Camus, or one of the other existentialists who, despite being unable to argue a single explicit and clearly stated POINT, feel entitled to let their feelings out in writing and then proceed to have the gall to call it philosophy.
