No. The things that put you on a watchlist are joining shit like the American Communist Party, Antifa, and the obvious Anonymous and those group concerned about X Supremacy.
Buying dissident literature will not put you on a watchlist also as you can always say it is for academic or self development or so.

I'm about to dive into Les Miserables, and I know next to nothing about 18th and 19th century French history. I've been told that's going to seriously limit my enjoyment or comprehension or whatever of the text as a whole.
Is this true and should I do some history before reading it? It's for school next year, so I imagne it will be covered in class in some detail, but can (should) I make a start without knowing anything about the subject matter?
