How do I cope with the fact that I'll probably never achieve greatness or anything of worth, and that I'll always be a mediocre person who never made a significant impact on his surroundings

I was confident, once. Then we wrote a booklet of "horror" stories in class, and I failed miserably, or so I felt. After that, I only wrote diaries, at least there no one judges me. I can´t even bring myself to write a movie script. I´m such a fucking failure of a human being.

In 2017 I took a train out to the Blue Mountains in NSW Australia. I was with another backpacker and we met a former Auschwitz survivor who was going to talk about his experiences at a local school. He wasn't morbid or solemn but happy and full of life. It would be hard for me to take deniers seriously after shaking hands with a survivor who rolled up his sleeves and showed us his numbers

There's not really much deepness to this story just a point of view
