The male and female conditions are, in every way that they're not identical, polar opposites.
Take the man; born with the burden of working to obtain social capital. He must strive for excellence, prove himself in athletics, in academics, in social prowess. He must be changing constantly for his own sake, he must fight the bindings of society. He must strive to impose his will on as many as possible as a measure of himself.
On the other hand, take the woman; born with innate social value that must be preserved. Hers is a position of battling to maintain the status quo. She must integrate with society, She is compelled to accept the wills of others. She finds value in social circles which she has not created, but within which she embodies as the ideal.

Now look at today's world and ask yourself why people are unhappy. The will of civilization (as much as it can be said to have a will) is to preconstruct lives--to build known paths for people to follow. The man's task is perverted in that he can only impose his will to the degree that it's been preallowed by another. He must be submissive to a greater work, but any act to build something of his own only feeds back into it. The woman suffers from too much freedom. As the society expands to allow for more options, the woman drowns in opportunities. When near everything has become social acceptable (and even encouraged), she flounders trying to find a metric against which to value herself, while simultaneously fighting to preserve this diseased system on her base instincts.

We live in a society.

>Our society tends to regard as a sickness any mode of thought or behavior that is inconvenient for the system and this is plausible because when an individual doesn't fit into the system it causes pain to the individual as well as problems for the system. Thus the manipulation of an individual to adjust him to the system is seen as a cure for a sickness and therefore as good.
