Does anyone else feel that the criticism Cervantes' narrative breaks in Part One are entirely deserved? All the stories feel so samey and the character at best boring and at worst annoying. The best of the stories is the tale of the soldier imprisoned by the Moors, but the rest take up so much space when the true story of Don Q and Sancho is infinitely more interesting.
