/lit/ - Literature

always preferred Marlowe, but i still have a lot of love for Macbeth and Hamlet, King Lear not so much, and i never really liked his comedies or histories,

i always felt that his work needed too much interpretation (Hermeneutics) theory applied to it to make it fully understood, and that this detracted from the enjoyment of it, especially when it's usually read lots of times and seen only one or two times by the average person.

but yeah, definitely made to be seen and read aloud, rather than read off paper.

Alright /lit/ here the recommended childrens guide FIRST DRAFT i made.

some things to note:

1. image is very large, i want to split it into two images or at the very least have it categorised better. Not sure what the categories should be though, childrens and toddlers maybe? with a third one for some young adult fiction?

2. the actual books. I'm not really looking to add any more books and i haven't read half the books that i've put on the list, but do you think there's a good range of stuff there?

3. are there any parents here on /lit/ who see this as a useful thing? Especially if they were a first time parent? Do you see this as useful? What changes would you like to see? If you saw this before you had given your child books what other info would you find helpful that we could possibly add?

4. format, i know the format isn't great (font used etc) but this is a first draft. Also looking to add a bigger paragraph at the top as an introduction. what do you think? yes/no? good idea/bad idea? should i go straight to the books? should we have a small introduction?
