I've been practicing the Jesus Prayer in my mind for a few days
>Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
It's honestly quite soothing. Maybe it's like a mantra or is functioning like a mindfulness exercise but it really helps. I want to try unceasing prayer if I can gather the discipline and if I understand it correctly.
Glory to God

I feel sad he had to die in January 2020, i have no doubts he would have had a lot of stuff to say about the world during the pandemic.

I really appreciate his work, he was one of the first philosophers i have ever read. He knew a lot about the essentials of humanity: what is love, beauty, the face of God and much more.

I miss him bros...

Let's talk about his work, but let's try not to go into his politics, because I feel like it's his weakest part. Like many public intelectuals of the past few years, people only went to him to ask about recent political events (in his case the election of supposed conservatives in the US) and ignored the rest of his published material.

>Whatever our religion and our private convictions, we are the collective inheritors of things both excellent and rare, and the selling of excellent tobacco, for us, ought to have one overriding goal, which is to hold fast to those things, in order to pass them on to our children.
