I wrote to my professor that I couldn't come to his lecture as I caught the flu while doing some cardio.

His response was:
"No sports!" - Winston Churchill

Now I'm looking for some nice quote to send as a response.

"No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training... what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates

This one seems kinda obvious, but a bit too harsh I guess, as my prof is DYEL.

"Leave all the afternoon for exercise and recreation, which are as necessary as reading. I will rather say more necessary because health is worth more than learning."
Thomas Jefferson

This one would be perfect - if I hadn't caught the flu, absolutely destroying the main point of the quote.

What quote would you send back?
