An Anon mentioned this in a previous thread
>Written in an "imaginary language", a kind of hybrid between Old English and Modern English,[2][3] it tells of "Buccmaster of Holland",[3] an Anglo-Saxon freeman forced to come to terms with the effects of the Norman Invasion of 1066, during which his wife and sons were killed.

It's technically historical fiction, but the pseudo-language and primitive viewpoint almost make it feel like a post-apocalyptic fantasy. I wouldn't say it's got the same spirit as Team Ico's games, but it's the only novel that readily comes to mind when I think of the feelings they inspire.

it's a novel but it's a fun read and has a solid bibliography at the end
