If you think about it, fictional novels are essentially just some other dude's fantasy/imagination written down. I have the ability to fantisize myself. Why would I ever parttake in someone else's fantasy as opposed to just indulge in my own?

is the incel problem just the existentialist struggle with the human condition but directed at society from misogynistic lenses? is the core of their struggle exactly the same as all people looking for answers to big questions such as "what is my place in the world?", "why am I who I am?", "where the hell am I going?" and so on?

if that's the case, why is all the effort just put towards trying to make these people not misogynistic or redirecting their anger somewhere else (e.g. capitalism or humanity as a whole)? i think there's plenty of philosophical literature available that tackles these kind of questions to at least give some sort of relief, but it always seems like people want to antagonize before actually trying to tackle the core of the issue.
