Aristotle's toughest works are in volume 1 of that series. It's all his dry works on logic and physics, which are going to be really difficult to parse through, especially if you're unfamiliar with Aristotle's terse style. You are honestly better off finishing Plato first, then getting Aristotle vol 2 (ethics, politics, etc., much easier topics to grasp). If you try vol 1 first you will burn out very hard, unless you are supremely autistic.

Everyone lives vicariously through narratives they create for themselves. Even this observation is me casting myself into the story of a philosopher. The points were people are most alive are precisely those where the boundary between character and observer grow indistinct.

The reason anime is so popular among 4chan types is that it represents the worlds we wish would could create but know we are ultimately powerless to impress onto reality. Anime is specifically chosen as the escapist medium because it specifically reflects the desires of the lonely, sensitive men who dwell here–what with it's stories of companionship, adventure, and cute girls. It seems likely that anime is also a contributing factor to the rise of the neet lifestyle, not merely because it provides distraction and entertainment but because it confirms, in a subconscious, abstract way, that our world is not ideal for them (in a panglossian sense) and that other, better worlds DO exist, even if their shadows are all that one can perceive in our material reality.

Does anyone on this board actually write? I constantly see posts were anons claim to be working on a novel (always a novel too, never a novella or short story or poem or anything else) and >greentext your novel threads, etc, but whenever I ask a practical question related to publishing or just disseminating your work in general it's just crickets. I have to conclude that you're all either larpers or you've never completed anything.

>work colleagues found out I'm an anti-natalist
>one of them pressured me to explain why when the boss was out
>several other people were watching to see what I said
>tfw I just started smiling and blushing and stuttered that I don't think life is that great
>one of my roastie co-workers said "Awwww!" from across the room

Which books will make me more confident when articulating my anti-natalist beliefs?

Can you write more than one novel at once?
I have two very disparate ideas I'm excited to try.

How does one become an essayist in the current year? I suppose the easiest way would be to just start self publishing stuff, but then how do you distinguish yourself from a generic tumblr user? (Assume for the purpose of this post that your writing is actually worthwhile, as unrealistic as that may seem).

>Why don't you read Nietzsche and then you'll see what truth actually is.

This is actually a political mature statement. By aknowledging her Nietzscheian's heritage, she is reframing her activist struggles in a context in which the harshest reality of politics are fully internalized.
She is aware of the arbitrariness of her principles and motivations, but she is also aware of how arbitrary everyone's else beliefs are: she knows what it means to fight an idea on both theoretical and material grounds, and what terrible compromises are required to do so.

My question now is: why has she revealed her power level in public? Why has she revealed this deep secret of her, which unveils the true meaning of her political activity? Why has she been so generous?
