m8 Heym's city poetry is his warm-up that he does while taking a shit and it's almost as good as Trakl's. But read Heym's Infernalisches Abendmahl or Wolken and Trakl has nothing that comes close.
Yeah, Trakl has a very recognizable style. But in terms of verbal force, Heym beats him easily. Heym is the expressionist top tier, a step above the likes of van Hoddis, Trakl and the often underrated Lichtenstein.

Gottfried Benn needs not apply btw.
