If we are to believe that all of nature is God, and that when we die what we once were ceases to exist, then don't we, in a way, become one with God and the universe at the point where we cease to exist for all of eternity? Is becoming part of the universe that bore us and will bear life forever not a reassuring truth? I'm aware that we wouldn't have consciousness being dirt or helping a tree to grow or floating through space, but is it not satisfying to die knowing that we shall return to the nature all of man descended from? The God that created all?
