I am the faggot who kept shitting up the bible threads here and on /his/ about converting to Catholicism, but this will be my last Catholicism thread. Upon further reading and bible study, I have become completely blackpilled about all religions on earth, partially because of pic related. Everyone should read this book. Daniel Dennett has essentially ripped religion's head off and shit down its neck with this joint, even if he is a p-zombie. I cannot take religion seriously after this.

Most of the book is a bunch of interviews with various different clergy members of mostly different Christian and Jewish sects, who have stopped believing in God. Some of them are still faking it because they have no other career options. The crazy part is hearing so many of them say for example that upwards of HALF of all their fellow Catholic priests are probably atheists, and that maybe just as many are practicing homosexuals due to the self-destructive celibacy requirement. It seems like a /pol/ tier conspiracy at first but the more I read this book, the more I became fucking appalled at how false the clergy truly are. It's all a damn lie. They don't even believe this shit, all the cardinals and popes are absolutely atheists and many (most?!) lowbie diocesan priests are too. In the book multiple priests explain how once you have a masters degree tier understanding of the bible it's impossible to believe in it, which is something of an open secret in their own courses. I always knew the church had corruption issues but this book will blow your mind when you hear what these ministers are saying. I can't believe it all turned out to be a scam, man. Anyway this is quite a fascinating read if only for the salacious details about what happens behind closed doors at the seminaries.
