Most would consider me to be the gloomy type, but I've never idolized suicide. It's not that I think there's any special value to life, but to get aroused by the thought of killing yourself- I think that's something for angstridden teenagers and attention seekers. Suicide is incompatible with apathy if it is considered to be eroticizing.

Not everyone's a control freak. Some people are prepared to die for ideals such as courage and freedom. But they're not suicidal at all - only delusional or inspired. How would the thought of being able to end one's life help one in his dealings with the world? That only works for strategic martyrdom (again, attention seekers/hysterics). The thought of suicide is not productive in any way.

Perhaps it's the ennui of being a rich yup that makes you long for some thrills in life. It's another version of the bored suburban teen syndrome. Many people suffer from it, perhaps you should focus on this aspect more.

Oh no I've lost my power to not get paid as much as an accountant/at all. Thanks for showing me I need to reclaim being dependent on a male breadwinner to pay for and/or direct all the things my prescribed chores require! I don't know what I'd do if I wasn't under a (male) doctor's jurisdiction or at home raising the kids and cooking dinner!
