No, and for those who say: 'oh, you just don't get it, you haven't really come to terms with how terrifying death is, you just have a bunch of defense mechanisms blocking you off from the reality of it'
That could well be true but that's who I am now and will be (for the most part) for the rest of my life, doesn't stop the fact that even when I've sincerely felt there was a chance I was going to die, I wasn't terrified, I wasn't even particularly concerned.

Getting tortured/the prospect of it, that's terrifying. Not the dying part that could well come after it

Does anyone else struggle with having a shithouse imagination? Like when I was reading east of eden, the whole way through I could only imagine the lee as the asian guy from Hey Arnold! and most of the time when something is being described I don't picture anything unless I force myself to. Is it automatic for you? I think I have a mental disorder
