Problem is that you are starting from a fake premise: Gender. There is no such thing as gender, and no, sex roles do not determine wether you are a man or a woman, that's a biological thing, it only determines wether you are more masculine or femenine. You can be a femenine man and you are still a man, you can a be a masculine woman and you would still be a woman. Yes, it is common to say things like "You are not a real man" or "That's not manly", but that doesn't make you any less of a man in the literal sense. Believing that is like believing that doing "inhumane" things makes one less of a human in the literal sense of the world.
