Goys, I've been writing my would be novel 1000 words by 1000 words, and every time I start, I hit things up with a zinger, but I feel like this wouldn't work with the end result. Can I literally take 90 scene breaks? Is this ok?

It has come to my attention that this board lacks proper moderation and that is a power that is being disputed by wanna-be literature Phd's and discord trannies, each with their own set of beliefs about how this place should be and what posts merit a discussion.
This may sound exagerated but i think it's not far from the truth and to be honest i'd prefer the more literature oriented people have more of a say when they see a post clearly off-topic ( celebrity crush, /pol/ bait, etc)
I for one, have assumed the task of trying to derail the threads that break the rules and that has lead to multiple warnings and bans while the original poster has go on with impunity.

For my job I constantly have to read lots of documents, and it's really important that I remember technical details instead of just getting the gist of it.

I'm struggling. First I had trouble focusing but managed to improve that, and now I realize that I can't remember shit after reading it only once. The details that make the big picture start dissolving into generalities after a day or two, but I need to retain this shit for a long time. If I take notes of everything I'm likely to forget, I basically make a second copy of the document.

Do you guys have a method to digest texts and remember it well?
