A. Heinlein writes escapist sci-fi as a way to cope with his postwar trauma. He sadly fantasizes about a world where anyone can learn to think in the right "language," and in doing so achieve an escape from injury, jealousy, wealth inequality, and achieve perfect happiness. It is a world where communal living and distribution of power among the lower classes is not only inevitable, but a self-evident fact that anyone can simply learn to wield.

B. Heinlein experiments with the idea of a modern-day prophet. He raises questions about how society would act, whether it be any different to how they've acted in the past (raising further questions about our supposed "enlightenment"), and what sort of aesthetics arise when thrusting a bona-fide prophet into a commercialized world. He foils his prophet with a synthesized megachurch designed to evoke behemoths of the past.

C. Heinlein reflects on the free love and suffragette movements of the times and synthesizes a theory of human society in which true happiness is achieved by gender fundamentalism and free love. All women including those already happily married (though there are none so happy) should submit to alpha "chads" such as Harshaw or Smith, creating massive, hypergamic male-female orgy cults (with the aforementioned evil commerce church intentionally keeping the count of males higher as a contrast), and those who are jealous or deviant of such must either subsume themselves into the cult or be eradicated by violent means for being a "wrongness."

D. Heinlein is a horny fuck who likes thicc women, corruption, secretaries, and spanking (based).

E. All of the above.

And this is by the same man who wrote Starship Troopers no less. I however did enjoy his portrayal of burgershart Christianity taken to it’s natural endpoint
