It’s just obvious. They pine for their youth or the era that founded their country. They venerate the ancients as smarter and wiser, (but only their favorites!) They want unmovable traditions no matter how it hurts the new. Stasis. They hate the march of time and the changing world they live in. It’s a hell to them. They look forward to their afterlife, where nothing changes. They are children deep down, that can’t grow up.
