I'll be starting to learn latin as soon as my books arrive so can read Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz. Can't really comment on anything else in the OP.

His style of artwork has always been my favorite kind for religious works. It's what I quickest associate with Biblical texts, and I'm glad to have it for both a Bible and The Divine Comedy.

Given a choice between every style of artwork through all portions of history to choose from, to place intermittently through the Bible as I read it, you're right in that there might be a better choice, but Dore is very good fit. Not too gaudy, goes aesthetically well with the black and white text, and though a tad dramatized in depictions, it does add emotion to otherwise cold script.

I'm interested in reading a book about and/or featuring the theme of endless library, knowledge and/or tower of Babel
Any recomendations?
